Where there’s a will there’s a way!

Whether you have single-line, two—line, three-line or four-line telephones, if you would like to add music & messages on-hold for your callers, THERE IS A WAY!

On most PBX phone systems, “Music On Hold” is a standard feature, allowing users to upload audio files into the system, or plug an audio cable from a CD or MP3 player into a port on the system (or a set of contacts, etc.), usually labeled “MOH”. However, individual single or multi-line phones, such as those purchased at an office supply or department store require an Audio/Music On-Hold Adapter.

Audio adapters mimic the MOH function of a KSU or PBX telephone system and provide an MOH port for an iPOD/mp3 player, CD player, digital announcer, etc. In addition, some Audio Adapters have built-in MP3 players that allow for easy file transfer to the player via USB Flash Drive or SD Card from your Mac or PC. Usually, only one adapter is needed to provide music and/or messages on-hold to all the phones associated with your phone lines, including most cordless phones.

Some phone models may require that users press the “FLASH” then “HOLD” keys when placing callers on hold in order to activate the audio on-hold. But, this extra step is easy to learn and quickly becomes automatic for office staff.

So, there’s no reason to give up on playing messages and music on-hold for your callers! Just contact us and provide the name and model number of your individual phone(s). We can advise you on the adapter and/or player that will best suit your needs, and start entertaining and informing your callers on-hold with professional quality, image-building messages & music!!
